Icelandic Art Songs – First Collection (High/Low Voice)
A collection of 12 songs that have a special place in the hearts of Icelanders, written by well known Icelandic composers. The lyrics are in both Icelandic and musical English translation throughout. Included, as a guide to pronunciation, is an additional transcription of the Icelandic texts in the International Phonetic Alphabet. All of the songs are part of the standard repertoire for Icelandic singers and 11 of them were included on the ABRSM Singing Syllabus for Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, following this book‘s publication in 2008.
